2. Data Collection and Usage

Our extension is designed with a "Privacy-by-Design" philosophy.

• No Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or location.
• Search Queries: When you search via the extension popup or context menu, your query is sent directly to YouTube (Google) via a standard URL redirect. We do not intercept or log these queries on any external servers.
• Local Storage: We use chrome.storage.local to store your last 10 unique search keywords. This data stays on your device only. It is never synced to the cloud by us and is never shared with third parties.

3. Data Control

You have full control over your data:

• Clear History: You can delete all stored search keywords at any time using the "Clear history" link within the extension popup.
• Uninstallation: If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored keywords are automatically deleted by the Chrome browser.

4. Third-Party Services

This extension interacts with YouTube. By using this extension, you are also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. We do not control how YouTube/Google handles data once you arrive on their site.

5. Permissions Disclosure

• storage: Used solely to save your recent search history locally on your machine.
• contextMenus: Used to allow you to search YouTube by highlighting text on any webpage.
• tabs: Used to open the YouTube search results in a new tab.
